Roll on 2006~!

Man, this is gonna to be a great year and I'm not just talking about the usual "oh the economy's so great and I'll soon be taking poppie to Margate" rubbish! No, I'm talking about two, yes that's two court appearances by the Sultan of Swing, the Z in Zulu, our very own Jayyyyy-Z. Yes, our man's heading for a double header with the rape trial soon to be followed by the corruption trial brought on by Shabby Shaik. Let the games begin!

Of course there's also the "please god make the stupid people stop" local government elections ahead, where we will see SA's finest opportunists politicians in action. It will be interesting to see how many times the ANC can call the DA "anti-revolutionery" or how often we will hear the word "delivery" or "roll-out" (as a side note if you're ever bored in the mid-afternoon with a few friends, switch on "Parliament Live" this makes for a great drinking game, watch out if Manto's speaking though, you'll be wasted in about 5 minutes.)

So I say roll-on 2006! We here at someamongus promise to roll-out some snark, deliver a bit of interesting SA news and shamelessly promote ourselves as much as Jay-Z at an ANC Youth rally.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

"We here at someamoungus ..." Who's "we"?
Is there a whole bunch of summer-mongooses out there, or are you just fond of using the royal plural? Merely curious. Carry on snarking.

Haha summer-mongooses, I like that one!

Well it's elementary my dear hex, as you can see from my profile pic, I (or is it we?) enjoy taking our lead from our esteemed leader. So instead of being direct we choose to invoke the group instead of the individual cos that carries a lot more weight with it.

It just sounds more Thaboesque~!

Well youll be glad to know that the campaign for the bi elections in mar"gat" is in full swing. Party regalia has been strapped to all road markings, and latest news is that da councillors are burning bras and chaining themselves to the gravy trains that they so wished they had caught...

My first visit to this blogsite, and im impressed. I have something to read while i twiddle my thumbs in the uni lans next year..

Im holding thumbs for the african renaissance in 2006, ive yet to see something creative that hasnt had brush strokes burdoned with thoughts of "the previous dispensation" or brush strokes only performed by the previously "disadvantaged".

lastly, you guys know where i can get me one of these jacob zuma shirts. he looks so ruggishly handsome with that smirk on his face......

others amoung them want to start a Demografitti campaign; the premise - if we are to be afronted with these images of pottylicians - then we need to democratically voice our opinion on their images with wit and humour....
