The JZ rape trial

A reader emailed me yesterday asking why I hadn’t included the Jay-Z rape trial in my “Whatsup in SA today” post. Undoubtedly the trial is very big news, but I just can’t motivate myself to write on all the seedy details being mentioned therein. At the moment it is still a he-said-she-said situation, but the fact remains that this was the man who was supposed to lead South Africa’s moral crusade through “The Moral Regeneration Movement”.

So will I post in future about the Jay-Z trial? Well, unless there is some real earth shattering information I think I’ll leave it to the newspapers.

Yeah it's starting to sound like a poorly written erotic novel "Then he said I was delicious" ugh!

Couldn't agree more. His supporters and their actions are eloquent/perverse reminders of where "International Womens Day" and all the initiatives to highlight violence against women rate in the current national psyche. If JZ had an iota of vision and statesmanship he would clear the streets of his supporting trash. Unfortunately statesmanship and ambition do not make bedfellows any more compatible than the roleplayers in this penny-horrible.

I also don't know if I'm going to cover it much because from what I've read so far it's gone from the realm of politics to the realm of the batshit insane.
