Priorities...

Thank goodness for Charles "The Enforcer" Nqakula. Ever since the first raids on the military history museum I have lived in constant fear that the country would would be attacked by the ruthless curatorship staff of the said musuem. I mean perish the thought - compulsory history classes for everyone, reeducation camps intent on stopping people from thinking about the future and (gasp) weekends spent at local musuems being forced to endure lectures by visiting Professors. We are truly blessed to have a man of your character Charles. Instead of concentrating on inconsequentials like the escalating cash in transit heists or the murder rate, you have correctly identified the greatest threat to our national security. Now, mere mortals marvel at ace detective Nqakula :

The notorious raid on the military history museum in Johannesburg in January took an unexpected turn on Wednesday when Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula said mud on the tyres of the museum's trucks could serve as evidence in court. During Nqakula's submission to a surprised parliamentary press corps when he referred to loopholes in the Firearms Act, he said some of the tanks and firearms in the museum were operational.

He said also that during the raid "soft mud" was found on the wheels of military trucks at the museum. Asked later what he had implied with his remark about the mud, Nqakula asked the media not to report what he had said "because it could serve as evidence in court".

Now THAT my friend is police work!
