Max du Preez

Have always been a big fan of Max du Preez, especially after reading his memoirs "Pale Native". His latest Op-Ed piece in the Sunday Times about General Lothar ‘Doepa’ Neethling is a good read and takes you back to the real bad-old days of Apartheid. Du Preez looks at Neethling an concludes :

" he wasn’t just a random, nasty individual; he was a metaphor for the ugly face of Afrikaner nationalism and the apartheid ideology."

Read the rest for yourself HERE. I really do believe it is good to be reminded every now and then just how morally bankrupt and despicable the Apartheid "machinery" was. Too many people are starting to get nostalgic about what was undeniably an evil system of entitlement and denial. We must never forget!
